Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh Upperman looked strong and consistent as he charged his way to his second podium finish of the season at round two of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championships on Goldspeed Tyres.

Mill Creek in Pell City, AL was the hosting facility where weather conditions were good for racing, with overcast skies and mild temps. Track conditions were also favorable early in the day but began to deteriorate later on, however, that didn’t stop Josh Upperman from putting on a solid performance .

The second round of the closely contested MAXXIS European Quad Cross Championship was held at Reutlinger, Germany this past weekend. With mixed weather running up to the event and a great forecast planned for the weekend at the hard pack based, hillside venue it was set to be another exciting instalment of the prestigious championship.

Paul Holmes entered the round sitting in 4th place in the Championship after a difficult opening round and was keen to claw back some points in his search of success. Holmes used the 2 free practice sessions on Saturday morning as valuable set-up time as his hard pack preparations were hampered with a big crash 2 weeks ago resulting in minimal training time. After just one sighting lap in the timed qualification sessions, Holmes posted a 1.56.89 lap time, which was just 1.1s from 1st place showing just how close the competition is in this 2012 season.

John Mitchell guided his ATV World Yamaha Laeger’s YZF450R on Goldpeed Tyres to his third British title on Sunday 2nd October2011 at the final round of the 2011 ACU Goldspeed British Quadcross Championship. Held by ACU Events at the Milton Park MX track, riders endured three 25 minute plus two lap races in record breaking October heat.

RD2 QRS Championships, Duns, 24th April 2011. John Mitchell made it a perfect four wins out of four so far this season as he won round two of the Quad Racing Scotland Championship onboard his ATV World Laeger’s Yamaha YZF450R on Goldspeed Tyres.

The opening Round of the Goldspeed European Quad Championship was held this past weekend in the Dutch town of Oss. A deep sand based circuit with a very technical layout proved an excellent venue for the season opener and treat the spectators to some very exciting racing. On the circuit in Oss, The Netherlands, Vlaeymans won the first race of the UEM European Championship Quads. The 23-year-old W-Tec rider won the race thanks to a first and second place. KTM Australia’s Ryan Lancaster has won the 2010 Australian Quad Motocross Championship, contested at Southern Capes-Jindong near Busselton, Western Australia, on 16-17 October.
Lancaster, from Tom Price in WA, rode his KTM 450 SX to victory in the Pro Class after a consistent showing at the event run by the Southern Capes Motorcycle Club, finishing with 5-3-3-2-2 results to clinch the title over the five races contested during the weekend.

The grand finally for the 2010 Goldspeed European Championship was held this past weekend at the spectacular venue of Rudersberg in Germany. Last weekend, the MX track of Cingoli hosted the third round of the Goldspeed European Championship. With the rain pouring down on Saturday, the race was delayed to Sunday.

The qualification went well for me. I finished fourth in me group, thus I’ve got the 8 pick at the gate when the two groups come together.

We’ve tried different tires, the MXR and the MXR2. I felt good on the MXR’s, so we’re going to use them on Sunday. Maybe we’re using the MXR2 in the first race, since the track has been ripped up. There ‘ll be some loose parts, and the MXR2 is perfect to cope with such situations. Up front the MXF was perfect for me, as for most of the riders.

The organisers of the last round of the Bajas European Championship, which should have been held in the military area of Perdas de Fogu in Sardinia (Italy) from the 2nd to the 4th of October, announced the cancellation of the race by the military authorities, because of security issues of the racing track.

By this, Paulino Cruz is the Bajas European Champion 2009 !!

W-tec and Planet Quad Racing are heading south for the 4th time yet with three teams for the 12 hour race of Pont-de-Vaux. The peaceful town between Dijon and Lyon is very happy to receive for the 23th time Europe’s largest quad racing event.
110 team son the starting grid with 321 riders of 13 countries for 12 hours of racing on the highest level. The race is divided in 3 parts with a famous night sessions of 5 hours till 1am Saturday night.
During the time practice session, the W-tec team took his time to do final suspension fine tuning and tried different tire setups. The best chrono was not the most important point for us. The 11th position is good enough to have good starts.

Filtec GYTR Team Yamaha travelled to Germany at the weekend for round nine of the 2008 GOLDSPEED EMX European Quad Championship, MSC Wieslauftal promoting the penultimate round of the series, in conjunction with the final round of the 2008 World Sidecar-cross Championship, at the fantastic Rudersberg circuit twenty miles North-East of Stuttgart. Winrow Honda Racing team mates Paul Winrow and Stefan Murphy approached the race meeting aiming for similar results to continue their quest for Championship honours, and as the dust settled at the end of a memorable days racing both riders had put in outstanding performances to dominate the podium, Stefan finishing 3-4 to take a fantastic 3rd overall and his first appearance on the podium, while Paul won both motos to take the overall and become the 2008 ACU British MMX Quad Champion with two rounds of the series remaining!
 

the spectacular Dean Moor Motocross Park the venue for round five of the 2008 ACU British MMX Quad Championship on Sunday the 13th of July.
Hosted by the hard working Iveston & Satley MCC, the quad only event was also the setting for the second round of the British Qualifier Quad Championship and the first round of the all new British Youth Quad Championship, and when the fast and dusty days racing action came to a close.

The spectacular and demanding Hawkstone Park Motocross Circuit near Market Drayton in Shropshire provided the setting for the 4th round of the 2008 ACU British MMX Quad Championship, Salop and District MCC promoting the latest round of the series on Sunday the 29th of June. Winrow Honda UK Racing teammates Paul Winrow and Stefan Murphy came to the meeting aiming for good results, Paul focused on extending his lead in the series while Stefan’s aim was to improve on his already impressive 9th position.
